Fitting the back support

BackShape comes with a high quality woven polypropylene strap, adjustable with a buckle.  It is wide enough not to twist, and unbreakable in normal use.

The strap attaches either horizontally, to suit office chairs, or vertically, to suit vehicle seats. It uses hook-and-loop fastener so you simply peel off protective strips and press on the strap, to suit your application.

If you wish, you can peel off all the protective strips and let the hook strips on the back of the cover cling to the seat fabric. On many fabric seats this grips so well that you do not need to use the straps (note that repeated removal will affect the seat fabric with a plucking action that eventually gives it a fluffy appearance).

The flexibility of the system allows it to be fitted securely to most seats.

Because the hook-and-loop method provides a support strip right across the back of the cover, it feeds the loads into the fabric in a structural way. It does not distort the cover, and the strap can never pull out of the seams.

This system allows us to use a soft, flexible cover fabric for unique comfort.
